I spend my days pondering life's ultimate questions: Why am I here, and what should I do with this "one wild and precious life"? I look for clues all around me--in music, culture, conversation and the Jewish story--and find bits of answers in each. Through Storefront I hope to open up a new kind of space in which humans of all kinds can gather to practice gratitude and joy through the ancient ritual of Shabbat--the Jewish day of rest. I'm blessed to live in D.C. with my wife and three children.

I’ve taught and sung all over this great wide world, and I’m thrilled to be creating community in Washington DC. Current passions are having conversations about sticky issues like addiction, class, and conflict with dignity and openness, and finding bridges between the explosion of rituals in secular society (think self-care and mindfulness) and Jewish wisdom. I love tacos almost as much as I love Torah, and really believe that the search for hidden voices in sacred texts helps us find our own.

I handle event logistics and social media. As a new mom trying to navigate motherhood, I’m focused on finding ways to have meaningful Jewish moments between nap schedules and piles of laundry. When I’m not working on Storefront events, you can find me with my husband somewhere on Capitol Hill testing whether or not a bar is baby friendly.
