On Rosh HaShanah it is customary to make a round challah which, in this season of renewal, symbolizes the earth and its continual turning. We will be sending out a “How to Make a Round Challah (packed w. Honey)” video so that you can make a challah in advance of the call, and then join us to show it off as we begin Rosh Hashanah. You're also welcome to join with a store-bought challah (still delicious!), or apples and honey. Rabbis Josh Beraha and Stephanie Crawley will then lead families with young children in a few songs to get us ready for the approaching day.
