We are in the midst of a pandemic, living in an increasingly tumultuous world. How can we find ways to thrive, and not simply survive? What grounds us in these times and how can we create space to reflect on who we are and who we want to be? How can we use Jewish prayer as a foundation for seeking the self?

Starting in November, Rabbis Beraha and Crawley will facilitate five sessions that will engage with these questions. The focus of each session will be on a different aspect of Jewish prayer (fixed and spontaneous, meditation and study). Participants will receive a journal and at-home mini prayer cards so that they can develop their own practice during the week. We’ll then come together as a larger group for reflection during the weekly sessions.

Hebrew and knowledge of Jewish texts are not necessary for participation.

Register by Sunday, November 8th to ensure you’ll receive your class materials in time for the first session. Late registrations are still welcome; you’ll be sent a digital copy of the prayer cards while you wait for the physical materials to arrive.
